Nancy S. Hall, 95, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024 at her home in Port
Orchard, Washington. She was born to Alexander Sigurdson and Edith (Michelson)
Sigurdson in Portland, Oregon, on June 27, 1928. She spent her early years in the
Grays Harbor, Washington area, moving to Seattle as a young woman. She met and
married George Thomas Hall Jr. while both lived at a boarding house on Capital Hill,
and they were together until his death in November of 1988. She lived in Shoreline, WA
for 61 years before moving to Port Orchard in 2019 to live with her daughter.
Nancy worked as a Secretary/Receptionist in several businesses but spent most of her
working life in the front office of several nursing homes. She was often mistaken for
residents as she (grudgingly) retired at the age of 87. She enjoyed working in her
beautiful yard, playing cards with close friends, and enjoying her family and pet
Pomeranians.
She is predeceased by her husband, George, her son, Thomas Alexander Hall of
Bremerton, WA, her sister, Evelyn Arusell (Gerald) of Ocean Shores, and her half-sister,
Jennee Rawson (Sam) of Vancouver, WA. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann
Beberman and her husband, Daniel of Port Orchard, WA; granddaughter Melinda
Shipley (Chris) of Lake Stevens, WA; step-granddaughter Marquita Mora (Gabe) and
step-great grandchildren Urijah and Myles of Discovery Bay, CA; grandson Christopher
Peckham (Rachelle) and step-great great grandchildren Scarlett and Olin of Richland,
MO .
Nancy did not want anyone to fuss over her. Inurnment will take place privately at
Lakeview Cemetery in Seattle, WA in the near future. Memorial contributions may be
made to Seattle Children's Hospital, 4800 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105.
